It is with mixed emotions that I announce my retirement as of November 30, 2020. Many of you received my letter explaining the process for request of medical records and including some recommendations for your ongoing care. I have recently updated the website with further details that I hope will assist you with this transition. See the pages titled "Recommended Providers" and "Request Records" (select in blue navigation bar above) for additional information and to access the HIPAA Authorization for Records Release form to facilitate transfer of records. Additional information about records release is provided on that page as well. Due to the high number of phone calls and the volume of records being transferred, please allow up to 30 days for us to complete preparation and transfer of your records. The process on our end requires that we manually compile the various parts of your electronic chart into a new document for release. If you have scheduled a visit with another doctor within a month, please advise and we will make every effort to expedite your request.
Covid 19 Update (09/07/20)
Currently the office has returned to normal scheduling. We are attempting to limit face to face time in the exam room and your time in the waiting area, as well as reducing the number of people in the office at a given time, for the purpose of minimizing any risk of viral exposure. For certain situations the option of a telephone or video visit may be considered if you prefer.
In order to comply with all recommended precautions, we have hand sanitizer available, observe frequent hand-washing, are sterilizing instruments per protocol as is normally done, have stepped up internal verification of our protocols and are disinfecting high contact surfaces frequently throughout each day and at the end of each day. We will wear masks for the duration of your visit, and we will ask you to do the same. Of course, masks may need to be removed for parts of the exam to be accomplished.
With our safety and yours in mind, I would ask that any patient with fever or other symptoms of illness allow us to reschedule your appointment. If you have an urgent need for skin care and you are ill, or if you are unable to wear a mask to your visit for medical reasons, please call us so that we can best decide how to care for you. Please ask family members to stay at home (unless you require their assistance) so that we can limit those in the office to essential personnel and patients. Your understanding during this difficult time is much appreciated.
